I was looking at her face as she was speaking about this series she’s made from an almost lost family archive totally and wondered where her face comes from… She’s Italian from Argentina…
Identity is a tricky thing.. and so are prominent features…
We bonded yesterday over lens-based treasures from grandparents and photography and histories and families and as it turns out her family also comes from the Canary Islands many generations ago.
I love this project of hers. I wish I had done such a thing. I’d buy this piece if I could.
Her work is currently being exhibited at FotoFest’s International Discoveries III, among some other amazing work.
